課程介紹
Agriculture, generally classified into three sectors, has played a key function in the development of human being civilization. In conclusion, agriculture is important to world economy and society because it has immense contributions to international deal since mainly of the items that is imported and exported by countries are agricultural products. Besides, agriculture is very useful for humans, without that we can’t get daily food to eat because the basic needs for humans beings are food to eat and water to drink. This course is designed to give students with a broad perspective on the key issues involved in the international and local developments and innovations in agriculture, either in first, second, or tertiary sector. This course, based on the standpoint of global trend and environmental changes, tends to introduce the concepts, status quo and problems of agricultural industry. The principles and cases of agricultural industry will be discussed on the basis of agro-food network and sustainable design.

- Introduction of Agricultural Industry, e.g. etymology and terminology, history of agriculture and civilization, types of agriculture, contemporary agriculture, crop cultivation systems, environmental impact, livestock issues, land and water issues pesticides issues, climate change and sustainability, agriculture policy, and the state of global food and agriculture, etc.
