課程介紹
This course considers the subject of innovation from a number of viewpoints in with particular regard to the challenge it poses to the creation of knowledge in various fields. The importance of innovation to both private and public sector organizations in order to survive and prosper in an increasingly competitive environment and the various strategies available to development of those organizations will be explored. As with all classes, the plan may change to allow for a flexible and responsive approach to the subject, but the aims and objectives of this course will remain the same. Readings and discussion will then emphasize the technological innovation process and the diffusion as well as management of innovations within and outside organizations and countries. Special emphasis will be also placed on the change process and its relationship to the innovation diffusion and management of bio-agricultural technology.

  1. Understand the theoretical model of diffusion and management of innovations.
  2. Explicate innovativeness and attributes of innovations.
  3. Identify categories and characteristics of various innovation adopters.
  4. Explain the mechanism of innovation diffusion and management.
