生物材料為天然可再生資源，日常生活中被廣泛使用，由於不同使用環境對於生物材料有所影響，使用期限內可能造成生物材料性質的改變，為提高生物材料效能，可藉由物理或化學方式處理之。本課程主要探討生物材料保存及改質處理，介紹生物材料的基本性質與劣化的關係、保存藥劑的演進、使用現況及分類、生物材料的前處理、藥劑注入方法及效果評估、改質木材之製程與性質。
