Course Description
This is a survey course with a view to bringing out the vibrancy and diversity of the literatures developed in continental Europe. The students will be guided to get acquainted with selected masterpieces through lectures. In addition to participating in discussions about assigned readings and films, the students will also be requested to do in-class presentations and written report/research on selected topics.
 
Course Objectives
This course aims to develop the students' knowledge and understanding of Europe in terms of its literary, cultural, and intellectual richness. Through studying selected readings and films the students will learn to appreciate and evaluate Europe's contribution to and impact on contemporary world.

Week16 Presentation of term project.
Week17 (1/2) Presentation of term project. 
Week18 (1/9) presentation of term project (final exam week)
 

60% one presentation with written paper (in both file and hard copy) and PPT on the selected course topics or a topic from the textbook. 

40% Discussion and class participation. Plus quiz if necessary.
File for leave of absence in the school system and upload make-up report within a week. Failure to do this will subject to deduction up to 5% each time.
